Easy Tomato Soup
Homemade soup doesn’t get simpler than this! You’ll find most of the ingredients in your kitchen cupboard. Just add MWELL Microbiome Powder for a seriously gut-friendly lunch, serve with freshly baked sourdough.

Preparation time: 10-15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tin of plum tomatoes
- ½ tsp of tomato paste
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 500ml (2 cups) vegetable stock
- ½ tsp sugar
- 4tbsp MWELL Microbiome Powder
- Basil leaves (optional)
Peel and dice the onion and garlic. You’ll blend the soup until smooth, so the size of the chunks doesn’t matter.
Heat the olive oil in a deep saucepan on a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry for 2-3 mins, or until the onion is golden brown.
Mix the tomato paste with the onion and garlic, then pour in the tinned tomatoes and stir.
Add the stock, season to taste, then simmer on a low heat for 10 minutes.
Add the sugar and simmer for another 5 minutes
Remove from heat and stir in the MWELL Microbiome Powder. If you like, add fresh basil to taste.
Use a stick blender or food processor to blend the soup until smooth, then serve.
